Diwali Dhamaka .....

This year, i wanted to make diwali a memorable one. Whats better way than celebrating with friends, so i called them over to my home. As they had no other option, they obliged to it :D. sometimes, I dont leave them with any options u c :). I was very much looking forward for this diwali like dravid for test matches after being dropped from one-dayers. As diwali was on friday, it was a longggg weekend. I was literally pestering my mom to arrange things. Our house is more like a hostel where 4 bachelors(we are 4 brothers) n 2 caretakers(mom & dad) stay. No prizes for guessing the untidyness of the place where 4 bachelors stay. So it was sort of herculean task for mom to arrange things n make our home look better than a hostel. For the first time, i helped her :). I have never written anything about my frnds i guess. Better late than never.

Introducing Vishnu and Rama krishna. Yeh dono mere langotia yaar hain. We were classmates in school. Its been 8 yrs now. We have shared everything ... ranging from answer sheets in school exams to unmentionable things till date. We are the main source of income for the theatre guys. Kodi, as we fondly call rama krishna, is a career oriented, disciplined, studious guy, very unlike me :). Uske discipline ke charche ghar ghar mein hain. As it happened that, one day we went for a night show at 7PM at a theatre nearby. This fellow left the theatre after movie interval coz he has to reach home by 9 PM. Even at the age of 22 , he sleeps at 9.30 pm. Now wht do u call him. I can compile a book "kodi ke kaarname" based on his unforgiven actions. Talking about the other one , vishnu, hez a hardworking, puntual chatterbox. He talks everything other than the one required. That too with no due respect to other's ear drums. Hez more interested in the food cooked by my mom( he enquires whenever he comes home). Agar "Dil chata hai" ka koi telugu version niklega tho hum zaroor honge usme :p :p.

*phew* . Hey 2 others guest were there too. Shoba and Jyothi. They are vishu's frnds. I call them chotu(shoba) n motu(Jyothi). Their physical appearence is true to their nick names. This sums up the guests list. Mom was busy in arranging things for the pooja. We all joined mom. We were more eager for the pooja to end so that we can latch onto the sweets that my mom prepared. After pooja, it was time for 'pet' pooja. We collected the crackers bag n walked straight onto my apartment's roof like an army troop carrying its armoury when sent on a mission. We bursted all types of crackers. The rockets were struggling to take off, n even some bursted in our teritory itself. Bajuwalon ke rockets ko dekhkar hi khush hogaye. We had the ball of a time. After a tiring cracker bursting session, we had our dinner. Everyone left after that.

This post is coming a week later. Diwali celebrations are still afresh in my memory. I gues, i got wht i asked for, A memorable Diwali. Hope to celebrate many such diwalis with better rockets though.
