Dreams Unlimited

Dreams do come true. Period.

Warning : I might sound more philosophical than a guy whoz completely drunk.

Now playing (When i started writing this blog) :  "Chadi mujhe  yaari teri aisi ... jaise daaru desi". From cocktail movie.

Current location  :
Sitting on this bed with my back to the wall in London house, Calgary, Canada.

Cut to 2 yrs back (2010, may):
------------------------------

I joined IBM. Went to office for just 6 months and then started working from home. Work from home to a unmarried guy who's frnds put up a board "available Only on weekends : Conditions apply * " is a curse.

I was really missing the team culture, the environment. Used to get frustrated most of the days.

Tried out many things. Search for a home for almost an year without much success. It was not meant to be. The time had not come for it i guess. Was bored to death.

No marriage, No home, No project team, and weekends only after 5 dreadful days. Life sucks man.

Cut to 3 months back ( Starting May, 2012) :
--------------------------------------------

I decided it was high time i get into some project which has something like a team and where i can go to office to work. Started searching fr projects. I had narrowly missed one oppertunity for Germany. "Life Sucks" sequel continued.

Then i got a call for Canada project, n i got through luckily :-). Any normal human being would jump in joy and spend more than month's Canadian salary on treating frnds n family. Not me. I knew Raahu and Khetu were my best frnds for 2 yrs. They wudn't let me go jus like that and my happiness might be short lived.

Did not say a word about the opportunity with anyone. None. Not even to Mom. It was too good to be true for me.

Here's the background about my travel. I have neva been out of my home for a period of more than 15 days at a strech. Never. Promise.

Stayed in a 4 star hotel for the first 11 days. The only good thing i found about this place was the shower, and the bed. No wonder i took more showers than i would normally take in a week. No Number guessing here pls :P. Here i was, alone in pune. Akon singing "lonely ..." all the while in my head. Completely new place, with no one to talk to. "Life Sucks" revisited.

I told to myself in comforting tone, 'this too shall pass'.

Then i met one of my old frnds, Vishnu mutyala, in Pune. We used to have a blast every weekend after the initial 1 week. Life seemed good for now.

Here in my company, the process for applying for visa is pain in the ass. Its as if u r getting married, and you have to prepare everything by yourselves. Cards, decoration, food, etc. Every DAMN thing man. The word 'busy' was redefined for me.

Sunday, July 1st, 2012 IST :
----------------------------

I used to always think that my first flight journey should be to onsite. Trust me. I had an option to fly to Pune from Hyderabad and return, on company's expenses. I took bus instead. Call me crazy, fool, %&*^*&^&^^^%$%()))*^%^%$. U r welcome :-).

I had seen most of the guys wear suit while going abroad. Join the bandwagon i say.

My B'day is on 3rd July. I would be in Canada on this day. So my family members wanted to celebrate my b'day 2 days in advance. Here it is.

With my nephew.

This Pics has been added jus coz iam missing home.

Don't be shocked. Close to 20 people came to airport to send me off :-). Mostly family members and why not. I am the first guy in my whole family to leave the country. No mean achievement this :P. ** Trying to pull my banian and swing it like Ganguly **.

My jouney in pics.

at Frankfurt airport.

Waiting for my flight. Still at Frankfurt,

July 2nd, 3.45 PM Calgary Time.
-------------------------------

Just landed in calgary. Only Just. Head is spinning. The realization has not sunk in. Feeling totally out of place. A quick look around and the locations seemed familiar. I would have seen them in numerous crap telugu movie songs.

The Dream of going Abroad is realised. Done. Am I on cloud nine ? Nope, still in Calgary airport :P.

July 3rd :
----------

In my hotel room, without any means to talk to my family or friends. A birthday to remember for this life. Who gets this kind of gift neways.

No Phone, No Laptop, No Family, No Friends. Sounds familier ? Hell ya ... Still, Lifez good man.

PS:
Now Playing (Still) : "Chadi mujhe  yaari teri aisi ... jaise daaru desi"

The word 'desi' itself gives that "high" man.

PPS :   Dont stop dreaming. They do come true :-).

A day with Bapuji

"At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom" - Nehru. How can we forget these famous lines from 'Tryst with Destiny' speech Nehru gave on night of 14th August, 1947. Cut to 14th August 2010,
at the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world was sleeping, I woke up to pain and prick of a syringe.

On that fateful lunch hour of 13th August, i obliged to join my friend for lunch in his company's cafeteria. He has joined a company which proudly says 'High Performance. Delivered'. Without an iota of hesitation i ordered Chiken Biryani. Enjoyed the meal as though it were to be my last meal. As though the heaven gods heard it, it was the case for the next 4 days at least. I wasn't upset, but my stomach was. I knew our companies are rivals, but you wouldn't expect them to stoop to such levels and target us young, energetic and hard working (and not 'hardly' working mind you) people.
Here i was, a hapless victim of corporate rivalry.

Considering the movie buff iam, i had laughed my lungs out seeing people in movies going though 'motions'. But i tell you, it isn't funny when you
are actually enacting it. Fluids run out at faster pace than Brett Lee's delivery. Totally dehydrated, fully exhausted after that strenuous workout my laughter faded away. The blood pressure reading was 90/70. It was a riot of sorts. All the butterflies, elephants and rats inside were running for cover. Nothing could act as a barricade to the flow. Just when we realized that situation could go out of control we went to Bapuji nursing home.
I sat quietly beside the doctor.

Doctor : Since when you have this problem ?
Me: Since yesterday.
Doctor : How many times have you been ?
Me: Close to 15 times.
Doctor(In anger): What were you doing since yesterday ? Counting your trips?
Me: *Mouth Shut*

I immediately got admitted on 14th night at around 10 PM. Next 24 hrs were the most boring hours i had been subjected to lately.
Food for thought: When a beautiful nurse around your age comes too close for comfort and gently holds your hands with her soft hands and checks for the pulse rate.
Will she ever get the correct pulse? :).

They wasted no time in injecting saline bottles into my veins.

My friend Raghu was with me. We were cracking all kinds of jokes to keep the ward in good spirits. Mom was with me the whole night. No matter what, i need
Mom to be with me when iam sick. I wouldn't mind people calling me Momma's boy. Hell ya. If i vaguely remember there were 6 saline bottles in all that entered my body during the whole stay. Mom was awake the whole night just to see that i don’t end up pulling the syringe bottle in sleep.

India was celebrating Independence day for being free and here i was down on the hospital bed. Ok, truth be told, i ain't someone who would thump his chest
and swear by the country nor do i have freedom fighter's pic as my lappy's wallpaper. But i do have the common sense to stand up when the national anthem is being played.
And equally watch Indian play any game of which i know a shit about. So I had mixed feeling about not being able to watch our PM hoisting the flag on Red fort.

Reality check now. If you expect your friends or Relatives or 'Chuddy' Buddies to come to hospital with fruits and energy drinks as they show in movies then i would say 'get real guys'. Before you jump your gun, by chuddy Buddies I mean childhood friends who have been through your thick and thin.
I know it stinks but it sticks :D. Considering the moron Iam, I had to actually call up people to say i was sick and i needed to see them. Most of them came as if they were having a stroll in the park. I didn't mind, because you would just want the presence of your loved ones.

Things got normal by 15th afternoon. I couldn’t take anything more now. I was really sick of the hospital. I ain't a mobile pharmacy, for that matter i don’t take tablets too. I got discharged from the hospital at 10 in the night. Spent the next 2 days at home trying to recollect the root cause for this outburst.

I know its too late by now but Guys, is there a way to sue the rival company?

Change

A quick question before i get back to my torturing self.

Whats the one word which is used more often and followed less often?

No ?. Hold ur head high and look at the title of this post :).

As the wise men say "Change is the only Constant thing in life".

I have changed. In many ways than ever.

For starters, I have stopped eating peanuts. That’s what i used to get in my previous company. Yes, i have changed my company finally.
I have closed my eyes n dived into the Big Blue, the 'baap' of all. There was a huge drama during the transition phase. I was excited, scared, nervous and confused at the same time.
Believe it or not, Changed 3 companies in a span of 1 month. Iam still absconding according to some company's records. I hope they haven't stated any "inaam" on my head.

We have changed our home. For anyone who’s planning to send any gift packs or Balakrishna movie DVDs, contact me for the new address. I some how like our new flat.
It has as many balconies as any single bachelor soul would vouch for. U get dat, don't ya ;).

I have changed my phone. I had a condition that i wud change my fone only when i change my company. Later was done, the former had to follow.
Dnt ask me the brand, jus check ur blood content. Nokia runs in most indian's blood. Been going crazy with it shooting every thing that remotely looks anything
but beautiful. Testimony of it.

Nokia, i love u, i die for u.

And finally, i am actually 'working' here. Or shud i say iam forced to. Sitting alone in the hyd office with my team at different locations. Iam as popular here
as bala krishna in bollywood. No one to talk to, or to timepass with. So, iam always thinking on the think pad. Mind u, only thinking.

The only best part of my typical work day is the journey back home. No, not to reach the home early, but to laugh my lungs out in bus. There are two grps in the bus,
one the senior citizen's who prefer to sleep thinking their wifes or children will not let them sleep in the night, and then the other back benchers :).
I belong to the later category. It really is fun being with all the guys and chatting abt anything under the bus roof :P. No gueses, we always end up waking these oldies from their romantic
dreams. Can't really help it though.

Now the signs of aging. Used to plan many things for my b'day before. My friends reminded me that i have grown too old to celebrate the b'day like a school kid by not
wishing atleast. The no of candles representing my age don’t seem to fit in the cake anymore :).

And as the lazy ones say "the more u seem to change the more u remain the same" :), applies to me too. Will always be the same old lazy brat.

Can someone pls count the no of times i abused the word 'Change' in this post?. I have lost the count though.

Adios...

My First Love.

All the ppl in the town, wake up to the sound.
On the beat, lets start the hmmm.
There u go ... Here i come ...

I ain't Pritam's distant relative to expertise plagiarism. The above lines are the original (Disgusting) wrk of yours truly. I guess the above ill rhymed, fractured lines are needed to announce my arrival. I know even dogs won’t bark on hearing those. 11 months to be precise, the time i have been away from this place. A baby born on the day of my last post wud have grown sensible enuf to pee by themselves in bathroom by now. I generally find blogging PITA*.

Coming to the topic of the post, oh ya ... My first Love ....

For those unfortunate ppl who know me in person : Can u ppl guess ?. (I can c some of u wearing 'as-if-i-care' look)

8th standard classmate who's name starts with P ? No. My 9th class Physics teacher ? No, not again.

Its Cricket :) . I don't mind even if u jump ur gun saying 'another fool joining the 1 billion (Fool's) group'. For those disappointed souls, 'i have other better post on my blog'.

Disclaimer :

Ppl allergic to ckct (and the ones who say that they watch only India- Pak finals) are advised to jump to the last Para of this post.

Blame it on my fate, i lived most part of my childhood among ckct fanatics. The place where we used to stay was surrounded by "pass the time by playing ckct" type ppl. There were Mechanic shops, grocery shops, etc in our 'mohalla'. Everyone used to leave their works for sme time n play ckct in the lane. Iam nt kidding. This is the very 'mohalla' where my ckct debut happened in 1994. Ever since, many things have broken, like Neighbor's windows, My own fingers, Sometimes Hands n legs too.

I still fondly rememba the days when 'Sunday' was synonymous to 'Play-all-day-in-hot-sun'. A typical holiday would start at 7 am in the morning at our local ground and wud end when ball goes out of the sight due to light. No Flood lights u c. By the time we (Me n my Ckct crazy elder Bro) reach the home, Our faces wud be pitch black, un-recognizable, food starved (Seriously, When u strt playing its only Win or Loss. So food doesn't come thr). We know by now dat Mom wud be as furious as a hungry tiger. Now to enter the house we have to face the Dragon ( mom :) ). We wud employ diff strategies like, keeping a sympathetic face (or even crying at times), Doing sme out-door wrk, Get some groceries, Fill water from the tank, etc to pacify her.

After joining college, Movies n other un-mentionable things took the front seat. It was only watching ckct n playing occasionally in college. The best place to watch ckct is on the TV sets of crowded roadside shops. U wud find all the 'self made' ckct experts n coaches talking abt how Sachin shud be concentrating on his shots rather than wasting time adjusting his crouch guard.

Now in the company, it is reduced to having a cricinfo site quietly sitting on my System's task bar. I can c many 'soft'ware souls saying 'same with us'. Its really hard to miss when 'men in blue' are playing. Some times i feel dat its not jus another sport, but a way of life. It wont be a exaggeration if i say "a day's mood is set by Indian ckct match". Feel happy when they win, n equally break anything around them when team losses. It applicable fr most of the ckct follower's in india. I still rememba the time i screamed my lungs out when india won the T20 World cup in 2007. Moments like these are Priceless.

For the ckct allergic ppl, don't scroll down more coz u have reached the last paragraph. If some of u are still waiting for me to expand PITA, then i wud say 'Have u heard anything dat sounds Google ?. Help urselves'. N for the ones who have already googled it by now, good, u suffer from 'Acute Syndrome of Searching Information'. In short, u r addicted to Google. Ppl of these types sometimes do search for their neighbor's daughter's pet's name (Jus in case to impress dat chick). N stop the search when they accidentally find her boyfrnd's name :p. Irony of life, i say.

Ciao ....

2 years of survival

The last post did manage to generate a good level of curiosity among my friends. Got comments ranging from 'didn't-knw-u-could-even-write' (in disbelief) to 'treat-reading-it'. It gave much needed publicity to this otherwise deserted blog. At least the hit counter says so (century for a post :) ). Couldn't manage to hit a century in my cricketing career though. Sigh !!.

Now, back to this post. On 4th of Sept I celebrated my 2nd anniversary in this corporate world ('celebrate ur failures too', sounds familiar, eh ?). My older posts would serve as my "karthoothon ka parcha". Now the 2 rupee 3 paise question (Actually it was in dollars, but changed it due to recession), "wht the heck have I done in these 2 yrs ? ". The answers to the above priceless question comes at a price to me. It would cost me sme 'overtime working neurons' to actually recollect anything remotely worth-while. If I say this blog is the only thing I think falls in tht 'worth-mentioning' category, then, u surely wud think abt my parents (Most probably to sympathise with them for how unlucky they are to have me). U might even term this as 'exaggeration', but it isn't. As 'white collared' ppl say, its all about balancing ur personal n professional life. On the same lines I wud want to bisect my 2yrs of corporate life.

On professional front .

* Have been trying to give SCJP certification since 2 yrs. Every time, my preparation last for a week n then it weakens.
* My appraisal is always filled with the things I wanted to do, not with the ones I did which is supposed to be the case. Don't want to talk abt the rating I get for my illusionary appraisal.
* Onsite still seems a light years away. Mayb, shud wait till ISRO's "Mars Mission" program.
* Attended an interview n I was politely pushed out through the glass door, mid-way. These days iam skipping any talks of changing company by reasoning it to "market conditions".
* The only saving thing was tht i cud able to do my work. My supervisor didn't have any "pink slip" thoughts abt it.

The light at the end of 'my career's' tunnel is brand Wipro. Which I plan to sell once Lalu becomes Finance minister (hoping tht it happens and he changes the country's fortunes like he did for Railways). There are reports saying software engg are the least preferred bride-grooms in India. The Lehman brothers' flirting with the money have cost us our marriages. Every young n restless 'soft'ware soul will curse them.

On personal front.

* These are the best days of my life (Don't knw when a 'pink colored slip' will make them worse :( ).
* Have made lots of good friends. Training days in Wipro were like paid honeymoon.
* Have been touring places like never before. Iam having fun till the core.(ok, only soft fun :P). They serve the contents of my posts for my otherwise forgotten blog.
* I was searching for tht special person but not anymore. I was wondering why a girl wouldn't even look at a guy, who thot himself to be handsome enough for Angelina Jolie to ditch Brad Pitt and intelligent enough to bring Bill Gates to shame. Now I know the ground realities.
* 2 new people have been added to our (otherwise bachelor's) family. My brother got married last December. My bhahi has delivered a baby girl this October. Shez still to be named. Would appreciate ur effort in suggesting a name cool enuf for our neighbor's babies to go crazy :).
* Our "Disaster group" has come a long way since the vizag trip. We have many plans in future which i hope comes true n i hope we continue these for long.
* I got a formal "rishtha" from a place near ours. I rejected it out rightly to not to spoil the girl's life. How can u expect a dumb witted, irresponsible, lazy moron to get involved in responsible committed relationship. Ek andha doosre ko kya rastha dikhayega. Don't u think iam too young to be termed as 'uncle' :) ??.
** Most importantly I wud want to apologize to my very gud friends who were part of my most cherished days for whtever reason they think i hurt them **

If ur memory is not short like mine. I talked about the balance in life before starting the above dissection. I don't need to say tht even a mentally imbalanced guy can figure out dat my life is not balanced.

I dedicate this post to Sravan whoz leaving Wipro. I'll always miss ur comments tht u used to pass abt every girl in Wipro :P. jus kidding.

C ya ... hopefully soon.

Fun in Vizag.

Well, its been 3 months almost, since this blog was deserted. Lots of contaminated water has flown under the bridge since then. Here i come with another of those trips (tales) i had been to. This post is due since 20 days. N u thot only Indian railways was late always. What else can u expect from a lazy, dumb, irresponsible brat ?. So without cursing myself further, let me take a scuba dive into the details. Lets have a kick start to the post. I mean, literally.

Ladies n gentleman this blog presents to u Mr. Anil Lee .. err .. Anil Chan .. Ok Anil. All credit to Ranjith for coming up with this "picture perfect". Isko tho mai apne grand-children ko dikhanewala hoon. Unhe bhi tho patha chale ki hum bhi kisi kheth ke mooli hua karthe the :).

Our diploma friends wanted to go on a trip. We zeroed-in on Vizag n Araku. As it is a rainy season, we were a bit reluctant but we trusted the met department ppl (about their wrong prediction every time) n were ready to take the risk (calculated risk i say). People were so excited (or may be frustrated due to their routine) that they were even ready for the indoor trip, i mean to stay in hotel rooms itself. To tell the truth, actually i was a bit hesitant n excited at the same time, before the trip. Excitement got the better of me n 15 of us were off to vizag on the evening of 7th of August. This time i didn't bother to check the F-16 to F-25 junta on the reservation chart. Shit, have i grown too old ?, of course not ;). The train journey was good. We played all sorts of games. The giggling n laughter was enuf to disturb the fellow passengers from their romantic dreams. I wud like to thank Mamatha for bringing all those snacks n everything and helping the starved ppl. May u find a well fed Guy and be blessed with even well fed Chintu and Chinki thereafter. Touch-down vizag on 8th morning. Rain welcomed us. First place we went to was Kailasa giri. Ranjith, Mamatha, Chary ..err ... Srinivas :) were official photographers for the tour. They went bizarre with the cams like they were on a mission. Cnu was the official GR (dnt ask me what it is). Thankfully we didn't have any guide, not Nagarjuna for sure. The place is well above the sea-level n it provided an awesome view of the sea n the city.

We at the kailasa giri. Seventh head from left is me. Ranjith, having to bear my weight(Ranjith ur such a darling :). Cnu dont raise ur eye-brows now).

It was time for the beach. We went to the beach, without wasting any time we slipped into our beach dress, well, indianised beach dress :P. We played games ranging from cricket, football to forced immersion. It was fun picking a 'bakra' n the rest of us wud throw him in the sea (Team building activity, u see ;) ). Iam planning to add that to my resume for actively involved in dat form of group activity. The evening walk after dat across the beach was jus awesome. I actually love walking. I wouldn't forget a walk on my Apt's terrace even if iam home by 12 in the night. The waves touching ur feet, gentle breeze by the side, lovely moonlight, can the walk get any better (Accepted, a GF by the side wud be icing on the cake.).

Next day we started to Araku. The Journey to Araku in the train was amazing. 54 tunnels are part of the journey n u cud literally count them by the no. of times we screamed. Over-enthusiastic nature lovers were going crazy. 'wowwwww', 'awesomeeeeeeeee' were uttered at all possible sound levels. Our amateur photographers were in full flow (ok, mamatha .. u r an expert :P). This was taken in araku. Bliss.

Wondering !!! wht i was thinking off ? ;). Uncle, obviously my 9th class Physics teacher :D.

How cud i forget the tribal dance at the tribal museum ?. I got an assurance dat even if we loose our IT jobs we cud easily make our livelihood by entertaining the firangi tourists. The archery competition after dat in which i failed miserably was fun. Then went to Borra caves. Confession time, Sravan me n praveen were more interested in checking-out the chicks there (Cnu was on job). The photo session n the Tarzan like sounds in borra caves possibly shows the frustration we, IT junta have been thru. TV Rao alias Rao garu as we fondly call him, was the guide. Tried very hard to sell his theories abt the formation of the rocks n wht they represent (Or y they don't). It was one of its kind experience. We went back to vizag that night. We had ball of a time that day.

In the borra caves. Yo-Yo type. Rao garu in a bankrupt (but still smilling) pose (hand-kerchief on the head). Thts the spirit i say. Find me in the above pic n u'll win a nicely packed 'RGV ki aag' DVD. I doubt ur enthu. So lemme spill the beans myself. Moi, second head from left.

Last day was a normal trip within vizag. Cnu getting beaten by the "telugu thalli" party members in the bus was treat to watch. Long live revolutionaries :P. Dolphin's Nose was another worth mentioning thing. I was more worried abt Bhagyasree, n her ability to stay on the ground despite a strong wind blowing. The view from light house is something to talk abt. Endless ocean on one side and a beautiful city on the other. Awesome.

This was wht i was talking about. Ok not the faces but the scenic beauty behind us. Bhyasree sitting second from left. Me n ranjith always together ;).

I have thot of a name for our group, its "disaster group". No, the name is not because of the living disasters like me in the group. Its simply coz when we go on trip a disaster takes place in the Hyderabad. Firstly, we were on Nagarjuna sagar trip n Hyderabad was rocked by bomb blasts. This time it was heavy rains n floods. So in the interest of the city and its fellow citizens, we have planned our future trips in city itself. How abt 'D-Group' ? (oh !!!! no, coz of obvious reasons).

This trip has bridged the gap between us. Ours is not the happening or coolest of groups but still it has its charm. Well, ppl have changed, for good though. Some have donned new roles. N some r continuing with the old ones. This trip has surely refreshed everyone n more importantly breathed new life into our friendship. We have taken it to a new level. Kudos buddies, keep it right up there.

Btw, isn't this post title sounding like a B-grade mallu movie.

Adios.

A trip to Bangalore

Since the last 2 years i was so desperate to go to Bangalore. All the talk about Bangalore made me more curious. It was fuelled due to the presence of many of my friends there. My desperation was to an extent where i thought i would attain 'Moksha' only aftr visiting it. So finally after a months preparation involving by-hearting the error mesgs dat come on railway reservation site and packing essential things, we left for Bangalore on Friday, 9th of may.

To my utter disbelief, there weren't any F-16 to F-25 on the reservation chart pasted outside our bogey :(. With a heavy heart, we parked ourselves on the seat. Its a 12 hour long tiring journey. Mr. sincere (Ram) was waiting for us at the station. The way we hugged each other wud have made even the "bichde-hue-bhai-ka-milna" scene look foolish. Before anyone doubted the straightness of our gender, we decided to break and head straight to his room. We were as planned as sehwag before he goes to batting. Had to call to some people for planning the actual things for the day. Below, follows the sequence of things happened from this point .

10th May, Saturday :

It was around 2pm already by the time we reached ram's place and got freshened up. Didn't wanted to waste anymore time. Called some people who were very reluctant to come out. I had to convince them dat iam no 'shakti kapoor ka distant relative' nor there was any 'inam' on my head. Finally we decided to meet at a place. There comes the one i was waiting for since 30 mins. Every girl who got down seemed to be like her. I sometime even wished they were the ones i was waiting for :-D. After the hellos n hais, n some utter non-sense lunch, we headed to their place. I was taken aback firstly by the remoteness of the place and secondly by their hospitality. I really liked the place and the people there. Actually i felt at home. Its was already 7pm by then. Next plan was to go to a place called "Forum" and to meet my supposedly friend. It was the weirdest meeting anyone can have given its aftr 1 n half yr. Went straight back to room and slept at 12.30 AM.

11th May, Sunday :

4.30 in the morning on a Sunday, wat else can u say. Actually i was frustrated with the constraints the 'supposedly friends' were putting the other day. How the heck in the world cud ppl come to a conclusion with those constraints. I thought it was time to move-on n we three morons started off to Mysore at 6 AM. The journey from bglr to Mysore was an awesome one. The climate, the trees, the greenery, everything was nicely set. Frankly ispeeking, my enthu for going to historical place can as be well compared to lalu's interest for rock music. Social studies was neva an interesting subject for me. I was more interested in the teacher who was teaching social studies rather than the subject itself :D (boys will be boys ;) ) . So, where was i ?. Oh ya, we first landed at Srirangapatnam, and took a tanga to move around the nearby places. Iam still wondering whether we saw all the places which he was reading out when we were negotiating with him. Nevertheless we started off on tanga. The way ppl were looking at us made us check whether everythingz was alrite with us. The worst part was the dat girls were gazing at us as if the animals were carried in a cage to a nearby zoo. Actually it was me who opted for a tanga as we seldom get chance to have ride on a horse here. I did enjy it too without bothering abt the on-lookers.

As 11th of may is a mother's day, i thot i wud gift smething to my mom n bhabi. I told our tanga-wala to stop at a saree store as Mysore sarees are very famous. Now the worst part of it, iam a worst shopper. I do end up making my frnds scratch their head during my shopping. N here i had to buy sarees :( . N u thot controlling inflation was the most difficult task. I just told him to show me sarees in a particular range n i picked the one which looked good without even bothering abt the length or the border or any other crap. They said that the sarees wud be delivered aftr sme days to our place. I was happy dat i wudn't end up thrown from the home as soon as i reach.

We went to Tippu sultan's palace, and the place where he died, buried. Next we headed to Brindavan gardens. I really liked it. We had a ball of a time there. Iam still awaiting for the pics. We went bizarre with our cam like 3 monkeys released from the zoo. It was already 7 PM by then. Then we went to Mysore palace. Aftr dat we headed straight to bglr n then to our room. It was 1 AM by the time we reached room.

12th May, Monday :

Ram works in HAL. He was very adamant on showing his knowledge abt the fighter aircrafts n the service their project render to the aircraft.
Museums stands at 1st position in my list of "most boring things". I had to drag myself for the sheer enthu of ram as he was hell bent on proving things here. I was more interested in the lady who was reading book there than the fighter aircrafts. After dat we went to shiv temple. We thot of going to iskon temple but we didnt had time as we had to catch our train at 6 PM. We thot of going to a nearby place so dat we cud return back early. We headed straight to Lal bagh. Mr. sincere's (ram) lack of knowledge about places in bglr made us walk for 45 mins in the scorching sun to reach Lal bagh. We were reluctant to get into an auto coz of the incident we had on sunday night. If u dnt guide the autowallahs they wud take u for a city ride.

Finally we reached Lal bagh. I heard abt it from my frnds. But then i thot it wudn't be dat bad either. Generally anywhere we wud have 'lover's association of India' member's presence in the park. I was utterly amazed by their sheer courage. They were to prove their "pyar ki shakti" n their isolation from the outside world. I dnt knw abt the IT progress, but the lovers in bglr are way ahead than their counterparts in Hyderabad. Actually it was embarrassing (now u don't lower ur left eyebrow n say , is it ? ).

It was already 4 PM by then. We reached our place, packed things and headed straight to majestic( I dnt knw if its the rite name. I was always calling it magistrate) railway station. There was a tinge of dis-satisfaction that the ppl whom i called my "very gud frnds" had very little time to spend with me. This time the reservation chart showed 3 F-16 - F-25's in our bogey :D. Its other thing that we didnt even talk to them in the whole journey.

13 th of may tuesday, i reached my home by 7.30 AM. Then was off to office by 9.30 AM.

So Finally if i have to sum -up the whole experience in one line, "Its was gud, but it cud have been bettr".

'Namma karnataka' zindabad :P.

P.S : Oh forgot, the sarees have come. N guess wht, My mom actually liked them :D :D. I really felt gud as it was the first time i gifted anything to my mom. I don't know if iam actually feeling gud aftr the trip, but surely sme things have ruined.

'Emotions Ke loose motions ....'

Why iam i this way ??. Why do i feel lonely all the time. ?? Why do i call myself a "tragedy king" ?? Why does the dog in my street bark every time on seeing me ??
Well these are some of the million dollar questions i put to myself. I know i exagerated a bit, but who cares. If u think it isn't worth worrying abt. Think again. The first impression ppl get when they see me is tht iam an extrovert and fun to be with. They always end up with "is-he-sick-or-wht" expression. I wont blame them. Its jus that i develop an attachment dat bit extra to their liking. Without even considering about their feelings towards me.

At one time i feel over the top, and the next moment start singing "chal akela ... " in an awful voice, which is powerful enough to take anyone into depression. I wonder whether its congenital defect or does it have to do anything with my zodiac sign. FYI, iam a cancerian.

Well iam going through not-so-good days. Work was hectic at its best. I had to send a snapshot of my weekly attendance to my friends to say dat i do work :D. 'Release' is the word PMs use to sentence us in a jail called cubicle. I can't explain how i felt at dat moment. Weekends completely in office. Can u think of any other nightmare ??. I dont know why these code releases are always on Monday. PMs must be working hard on schedules to make us sweat with the a/c on. Well, no point in dwelling on this. Therez a famous saying in english. Though its a non-veg one. Complete discretion recommended. If u can't escape the ........ , enjoy the .... . N dats what iam following. U think u can push urself to the limit, but it comes at the cost of side-effects. Like frustration, anger to name a few.

On a personal note. Things have been at their worst possible best.

Some things have to end. They jus cant keep crawling at the cost of ones self-respect. Therez a limit for everything. The more u think about it, the more it hurts. Is liking n caring for ppl a sin ?. Y don't they understand that. Does it get to their heads ??. If that's the case, then iam not far behind either. Iam ready to show them the real meaning of that phrase. These days i really needed a smeone to console me. I really miss them.

The bad news is that, i have started being rude. No point in being a mimosa, when ppl take u as easy as a samosa. I know dats the worst u cud have read for a while. I don't know, iam loosing my mind. N i have started using the word "Busy". Earlier, even if my PM was breathing under my neck, i would have never used it. I always thought, we can't be busy to a extent, where we cant have time for our loved ones. Well as tasneem says, its all about prioritizing things. The problem with me is, i have neva tried to put things in perspective. I have leant more lessons now, than i had learnt in my acads. N i think its high time dat i implement them.

Dn't rememba where i saw this , " Neva make someone a priority in ur life, when ur jus a option in their's". I think it fits the bill, abt wht iam trying to say now. . May b, its the only solution for my probs. "Der aye, doorust aye" type.

I know iam sick. N i need to take a break. Before i exhale any more fire. I'll take leave.

Me and My Resolutions

I Wish you all a very happy new year 2008. I know iam the last person on this planet to wish. Its so late that it can't even be categorized into "belated wishes" category. Saying that I was busy would be the biggest lie of the year. Woh bolthe hain na, ' likhne ka keeda ' mujhe kabhi kabhi hi kaatha hai. Without any further delay, apni aukaad pe aatha hoon.

When u wear formal dress with shirt tucked-in and a card hanging on the neck (id card), u tend to think like a professional. As a part of professionalism, u get ur career graph printed right on u r head. N use the GPS system to see if its in the right track. Hmm, I wouldn't say i have reached that state, but surely some things have rubbed onto me.

I feel like having a look at the promises i made to myself in the form of resolutions during last year and their progress.

1) " work hard, enjoy harder ". :

This is the most trickier of all. If u work hard, wherez the time for fun. I dnt knw about the first part but i have followed the second part in its true sense. We are a group of 4 morons. we manage to have a blast even at a funeral. Its been 5 months since we know each other and i think we have missed just 2 weekends. Its like we are waiting for the weekend. All in all iam having fun. Coming to the work part, during the most part of the year i was jus passing time. I desperately wanted to join a project. I guess some god heard it and he landed me into this hell. I guess i have mentioned about this project in my previous post. Its no fun trying to remember hell. My average working hours for 3 months was 14 hrs. So to talk in business terms, " my last quarter efforts meets expectations " :p . It gave me the opportunity to make new frnds, the cab drivers, the cabs in-charge, and like. The cabs in-charge is very upset when i leave the office by any chance even at 8.30 pm. So as to not to hurt his feelings and my PM's too, i dive my head into the monitor and wait for the security ppl to drag me out at night. For a change, iam loving my work. So i wud say the year went well and i score nos marginally better than dhoni's average in australia tour.

2) To eat chapattis :

Now-a-days I eat chapattis as if i was born in Punjab or any north-indian state. If u think this must be the silliest resolutions of all time, i wud say " abhi post baaki hai mere bhai ". If u still think dat its too silly, imagine the pain of a sardar ji who is made to eat idly or dosa with saamber. Kasam sardar ji pe joke marne wale ki, iske tho pure number milne chahiye mujhe.

3) To eat curd :

This gives the above resolution a run for its money. Sorry to say, but i still hate curd. Have tried it many times but failed miserably in adding it to my daily diet. Like dhoni failing in australian tour.

Hmmm so i leave it to the beloved reader to decide whether i have succeded or not. I know iam talking as if there is some reality show going on and iam part of it.

Here i come ( rather shamelessly) with another set of resolutions ( most probably to break it) for this year 2008.

1) To change the company ( jump jilani is my idol ).

2) Stop having blasts at funerals .

3) To be more technical than lalu.

4) To complete SCJP certification.

I think we should set realistic goals. Rather than being too ambitious and feeling low on confidence when failing to achieve them. 3 and 4 falls under the ambitious category. Lets hope for the best. If my mom gets to hear the forbidden words like "career graph", "professionalism", "goals" frm me, she would surely call up the psychiatrist for an appointment.

Till i get bitten by ' likhne ka keeda ', u can help my mom in suggesting a nice psychiatrist.

Diwali Dhamaka .....

This year, i wanted to make diwali a memorable one. Whats better way than celebrating with friends, so i called them over to my home. As they had no other option, they obliged to it :D. sometimes, I dont leave them with any options u c :). I was very much looking forward for this diwali like dravid for test matches after being dropped from one-dayers. As diwali was on friday, it was a longggg weekend. I was literally pestering my mom to arrange things. Our house is more like a hostel where 4 bachelors(we are 4 brothers) n 2 caretakers(mom & dad) stay. No prizes for guessing the untidyness of the place where 4 bachelors stay. So it was sort of herculean task for mom to arrange things n make our home look better than a hostel. For the first time, i helped her :). I have never written anything about my frnds i guess. Better late than never.

Introducing Vishnu and Rama krishna. Yeh dono mere langotia yaar hain. We were classmates in school. Its been 8 yrs now. We have shared everything ... ranging from answer sheets in school exams to unmentionable things till date. We are the main source of income for the theatre guys. Kodi, as we fondly call rama krishna, is a career oriented, disciplined, studious guy, very unlike me :). Uske discipline ke charche ghar ghar mein hain. As it happened that, one day we went for a night show at 7PM at a theatre nearby. This fellow left the theatre after movie interval coz he has to reach home by 9 PM. Even at the age of 22 , he sleeps at 9.30 pm. Now wht do u call him. I can compile a book "kodi ke kaarname" based on his unforgiven actions. Talking about the other one , vishnu, hez a hardworking, puntual chatterbox. He talks everything other than the one required. That too with no due respect to other's ear drums. Hez more interested in the food cooked by my mom( he enquires whenever he comes home). Agar "Dil chata hai" ka koi telugu version niklega tho hum zaroor honge usme :p :p.

*phew* . Hey 2 others guest were there too. Shoba and Jyothi. They are vishu's frnds. I call them chotu(shoba) n motu(Jyothi). Their physical appearence is true to their nick names. This sums up the guests list. Mom was busy in arranging things for the pooja. We all joined mom. We were more eager for the pooja to end so that we can latch onto the sweets that my mom prepared. After pooja, it was time for 'pet' pooja. We collected the crackers bag n walked straight onto my apartment's roof like an army troop carrying its armoury when sent on a mission. We bursted all types of crackers. The rockets were struggling to take off, n even some bursted in our teritory itself. Bajuwalon ke rockets ko dekhkar hi khush hogaye. We had the ball of a time. After a tiring cracker bursting session, we had our dinner. Everyone left after that.

This post is coming a week later. Diwali celebrations are still afresh in my memory. I gues, i got wht i asked for, A memorable Diwali. Hope to celebrate many such diwalis with better rockets though.

Graphophobia and Jogi :)

Its been 4 months 3 days since i have posted anything here *phew*. Now dont doubt my maths abilities n start scoulding my maths teacher after seeing the last post dated sept 3rd. Its a guest post aur woh mere khate mein nahi ata :p. Coming to the reason for this layoff , therez no reason as such. Saying i was busy wud be as true as narendra modi's non-involvement in godhra riots. Frankly speaking the problem lies in the root. Iam very bad when it comes to writting stuff. I'll paste my gradutation certificate as proof. Its just the lecturer's belief in charity that helped me pass the exams. Jonny gaddar ki kasam , mujhe nahi maloom ee blog kaise shuru hua. It all started in the heat of the moment , now iam feeling the heat to keep it alive. I have been suffering from Graphophobia(fear of writng, I googled it :D) since years. Mere se behtar tho inzamam ki vocabulary hai. One of my frnd had to remind me that i own a blog n its currently deserted :( .

I was in freepool for 3 months n now in a project since 1 month. Now, that sums up the things happening at professional front. One sad news, i left my homeland(manikonda) n now iam in my sasural(madhapur) :p. I have been moved to madhapur for this assignment which is a big assignment in itself. Believe me, the project iam working on right now is the biggest development proj running in wipro , hyderabad. Talking abt the technologies involved, "u name it, we have it" wudn't be an exaggeration. Coming to the inside stories , ppl here wrk till late nights n therez nothing like weekdays or weekends. There was a meeting of the HR with the project developers. She quietly noted all the grievences of the employees in her laptop. Iam sure that file size of the probs list might be 100KB. It was kind of a laugh riot. Luckily the module iam involved in is not hectic right now(can't predict the future u see).

Cricket is keeing me hooked these days. Boss after all we are the world champs in 20-20. That win provided me with one of the happiest moments of my life. I salute to Indian cricket team n especially joginder sharma(i fondly call him 'jogi' :P).

I really have no clue abt how he was selected into the team. When hez bowling u get the feeling that hez begging the batsman not to hit. Last over against aussies was ok as he had 22 runs to defend. But the finals, i wud really want to know how he was feeling at that moment. Final over of the World cup finals that too against Pak, can it get bigger than this. I wud say it was his utter luck n 1 billion prayers that saved the match. I dnt think he wud be seen in the team again unless he goes back to basics n understands that bowler needs to bowl to the wickets.

Now that i have got temporary relief frm Graphophobia :p, u can expect more PJs n more non-sense :D:D.

I wish u n ur family a HAPPY n safe DIWALI .....................

"An angel stops by the Devil's paradise ..."

This really shud'nt be the way a "guest" must post at anotherz blog, its like sneaking into one;s home (with thier permission ofcourse ! fir bhi.. its still "sneaking" ) blaa neva mind, not that i feel outta place, but i still think Anilz shud have been a lil more umm well i dont wana use "cautious" but hey wateva!... hez given it in safe hands ( his pwd!! how silly now? waise i know it aint a khazaana :P.. magar.. fir bhii :D) n He knowz well y i call my hands safe .... no Anilz.. i aint talkin of the "trust" n etc ( i wanted to call it crap in this context, but its too nobell a word fr me to define it dat way!! )
Gee okk dat reminds me.. Anilz warned me bout not writing things dat wud bounce ova d head :D but hey.. aadat se majboor.. n atleast by now.. since we complete a whole year together tomorrow!! OH MY GOD!!! CAN U BELEIVE THAT!!!! :D .. lol see dat.. now hez online n stil askin me bout planzz fr tomoro! :D

neways... this is fella is a nice chunk of no sense :D, dats how i see him, I think he onez told me, or probably i read smwhere.. that he uses his Heart to think, n not his mind.. n i smhow was kinda averse to that, so :D.
n these days, its like this wierd spel on him that he puts in words like this -- " Dont make others a priority in ur life, when u r just n option in theirs" . Well dotn disagree buddy, but.. umm therz a lot more to dat aint it ?

He pinged me on yahoo after gettin in tuch wid me on the wipro group at orkut. n since then i tell ya, wheneva i;d sign in.. he;d be tehre. I'd be frank, since i wasnt d kind to talk much unles i knew, he always ended up starting the cnversation. n wel... I was rude to him once ( d blocking thing ), :D but i did confess later on whn v were gud frndz :)

hmmmm not dat i;d run out of wrds, but i js have one lil thing to tell this dumb pal of mine, smtimes u dont have time to accomadate everything important in your life, thats when you prioritise things, n thats when all the important things fall one after the oether n hence lose importance, but that loss of importance in jsut too miniscule a size to feel that one is let off completely.

n did i tell ya i know almost all his girlfriends????? ( :D yea u read it rite thats in PLURAL!!!). But man a year, n its been nice, those walks we'd have, it was strange when u said u;d luk around to see if m cmin :) Thanx, those walks were always shorter than the usual 2.5 km that we;d take :)
Hez a pathetic singer n terrible n lyrics, so watch out if he offers to sing !!! n ya... dont eva take him as partener in Antakshri unless ur too gud at it urself or if u wana loose :D

heyy... time up, although i'd go on n on bout him, ab ek saaaaaal sahaa hai na is bande kooo :P. Hez a lil soft, a lil silly, very dumb, very very stupid, a nice son, n ok brother ( i remmber a lil incident u told me, dats y less points fr brother!! ) n ya.. i frgot to mention... all in all.. hmmm Hez a very nice friend :)

heyyyyyyyyyyy time upppppp...
Tasneem signing off...
Maassalaama!!

Happy B'day to me ... :)

On 3rd of july, 1984 around 4'o clock in the morning there was a huge cry. A hardly working soft engg was born :). Hez as lazy as ganguly in the field, as inefficient as agarkar, as fluent in english as inzamam. I can see some heated ganguly fans there. I dnt want to damage their(player's) image anymore, i'll stop here.
Its my 23rd birthday (yakeen nahi hota, wait i'll paste my birth certificate). Well here goes the ppl who wished me first....
* Govind thru SMS
* Raghu was the first to call.
* Lakshmi in person

Congrats u have won free tickets for 'jhoom-barabar-jhoom' movie. C'mon yar smeone shud see the movie rite. varna producer aur distributors tho suicide karlenge. I knw u r all looking forward to this movie :) . The most difficult part is trying to figure out who has called. They jus pop-out from no-where and start throwing puzzles. I have a frnd who calls me only on my b'day every year. I was in the bus when i got this call frm a frnd whom i cudnt recognise...

frnd : hi
me : hello
frnd : many many happy returns of the day ..
me : Thank you so much .. i was smiling as if i heard news abt me winning sikkim lottery.
(now the KBC starts)
frnd : pehchan koun ??
me : after a long thought ... pushpa .. (ekdam kaka ke awaz mein)
frnd : nahi nahi ....
me : pls baatado, tumhe pushpa ki kasam ... (I was very anxious to hear other 'pehchan kaun' type ppl waiting to wish me.)
frnd : Ok. I'll give u a clue ...
me : Thanks a lot (I was as relieved as Indian team after winning SA series) .. pls go on ...
frnd : My name starts with 'p' ...
me : wowww !!! wht a clue ... (i was speechless .. coz i dint knw any one whose name starts with dat alphabet ). can u dig-in a bit more. Iam very poor at solving puzzles .
frnd : u r the dumbest guy i have ever seen (ee frnds bhi na ... meri tarif karne me kabhi nahi chukte). Iam prashanti.
me : ohhh ... thnk god u saved me .. by da way thnks for the complement.

I reached office at 8.30. When i opened my mailbox there was mail waiting to be unleashed . Its was a very beautiful one, it had lovely roses, mouth-watering cakes, yummy chocolates, a cute teddy bear, Very beautiful message. Iam very poor at describing things(kya kare bhai, hum bhahut bheek hai angreji mein). The nice part of the mail was the attachment. It was a .exe file, when i opened it surpassing all wipro warnings , i witnessed a beatiful sight. There were flowers thrown on the screen, it was as if electron gun was firing flowers instead
of electrons. I jus loved it. U knw, i even sent a very excited mail to them saying "u made my day". I get disappointed when expected people dnt remember my b'day. So i had to call them up n remind em' dat its my b'day today.
The surprise of the day was when kets n ashwini planned to celebrate my b'day. We were 4 ppl. It was written "Happy b'day Romeo ". I told them it was anil kapoor's name in sme movie n not me :) . As soon as i was done with the cake cutting formality they jus jumped on it. We 4 of us ate the full 1 kg cake. Cake ka namo nishan bhi na raha. Wht do u call us now .. 'cake- eaters' (similar to man-eaters). We jus torn the cake apart. Believe me the cake was so delicious. There was nothing planned for the evening. Overall the day went fine. I thot it cud have been gud if things were planned.

Did i say that iam in Free pool now. Our second proj is scrapped. I gues sme one from expedia must have seen my last post. Aakhir ek kaam tho akal ki kiya hai client ne. Iam very free now ... (wondering when was i busy last time??). Our team mates have moved to diff locations. But me sitting in the same cubicle. Iam waiting for my next prj like sehwag for his place in the team.

Once again thanks to all the ppl who took pain in wishing me :) .

chalo then byee ...

p.s : I took 2 days to write this post. So its published on 5th july instead of 3rd july. Kya kare yar i was very busy on dat day :).

Bhuka pet

The devil is back :) ... Iam here to celebrate the completion of my first project(Our client knows how well we
messed it up :P). Its like coming out of tusshar kapoor's movie. My previous posts will give u just a vague idea about how badly
i wanted that proj to end. I know it has been many days since i have posted anything here. People out there might be giving 'who cares'
look as well. Believe me it was like, roaming in the same village, but not going to u r home (kuch hajam nahi
hua na .. tho hajmola khao :P). Have i lost the enthu to blog?. I guess i jus lack the motivation. A comment or two from readers would do dat. U
might be saying "besharam , comments keliye puch tha hai ... thodi tho sharam kar", no issues. I love peeping into
other's blogs :D. The first thing i do after cming to office is check for any updates in sme selected blogs. I now have hell lot of free time for every damn blog. My second proj has started but wrk is not assigned to me.
U knw who the client is ... guess ... wahi "Expedia" ... bada besharam client hai yar. pehle proj ki aisiki
thaisi karne par bhi doosra proj .. chiii .Actually this is a pilot proj. Depending on this proj's success (most probably failure), the client will decide
his partnership with us. Ppl are taking things very seriously here. Its very small proj, just for 2 months.
They have roped in 13 members. ee tho wahi baat hua na , chote saamp ko bade lakdi se marna.
On personal front, lifez ok ok. Wahi weekdays pe kaam, weekends pe movies. It gets a bit boring. I want a
change.

Shaalini is leaving the company today ... Shez been a gud frnd of mine ... I guess i have to get used to saying
goodbye to ppl. This is just the start. Everyone are planning to leave. As far as my plans go, Iam planning to
stay atleast 2 yrs here. I dont think wipro is too bad a place to stay. No particular company in mind at this
moment, but will surely eye CSE,Accenture,Infosys,CTS, or for dat matter TCS.I used to wonder why ppl keep changing companies like a rent house. I dont know abt others but i jus want to
see diff company's work cultures. If its a fun filled one then it wud be most appreciated. Cming to fun part,
we had our first team lunch :D. Its was nice to go out with a team of 20 ppl. I was soooo hungry as if i have
jus arraived from somalia. When the food was served, bhuka anil inside me said "tut pado". I had a fest of a
time. I didnt even leave place for an icecream in my stomach. It was as if i preserved food for next two days
:D. Our PM has identified potential 'bakras' for next team lunch. Iam one of them :(. Us din tho mera upwas
hoga... nahi nahi koi bhakti nahi ... mujhe hi tho bill bharna padega na, isiliye :D. I'll send a group mail
saying "bache ki jaan aur kapde aap ke haatho mein hain, Kripiya aap apne peet ka hi nahi, mere izzat ka bhi
khayal kare".

This post is dedicated to shaalini . ALL THE BEST buddy. Have a gr8 life ahead. We'll always remember those
training days. Thnks for being part of my dream dayz. N hey, u must be having second thoughts about inviting me
for u r marriage n reception, after reading this post. Dont worry, i'll have my lunch n cme.

Chalo bhai, team lunch ke liye personal loan apply kartha hoon. Koi loan denewala hai ... suniye !!!!

A Frustated Soul .....

What do u expect after a hard day at work? . when u stay upto 10 pm in the office then u r in no mood to take any more torture. The day went well yesterday. It was 10 pm until i finished sme work. I was totally drained out. Then i got into the wipro shuttle, n wht do i see. No guesses boss, it was full n i was standing (or shud i say hanging). At that particular moment u realise why life so harsh on u. Thankfully i got the seat after 15 mins of standing or hanging. At 10.30 pm there was a traffic jam at panjagutta . I was laughing , maybe the girl beside me thought me to be a psycho. This bloody hell road is always full. I sometime wonder what shud be done to escape this road. U dont expect delays at atleast 10.30 yar. Some how we reached to secunderabad at 11 . Then my next adventure, see my story is full of adventures. I was waiting for a RTC bus. My place is 30 mins away from this place. It hardly takes 20 mins in the night. The bus was full again. I was half-sleep. And to add to the woes the driver was not seen around. I tell u , the passengers where hunting for the driver. If he wud have come late by another 5 mins then he would have got a nice felicitation. Everyone was screaming n shouting in censored language. I was still standing. I was hanging to a pole as if there were floods. If a pic of mine was taken then it would have won the best award for the most depressed guy. Finally reached home at 12 . The walk from busstop to my home was not gr8 either. I was walking like a drunkard , i was all over the road. It was a half-sleep walk. I could have crashed into any vehicle or MCH dustbins. Had my dinner till 12.30. When i switch on the TV , i see aussie guys in hold of the match . Wishing srilanka all the best , i slept.

Woke up at 6 in the morning. I have to wake up early coz i might miss my bus. In my school or college days i never had this prob of catching bus at a particular time. My mom gets up just 10 min before my departure, n she hurriedly gets sme bread slices with jam and pushes into my mouth. I never had this situation in my student life.

It has become a routine for me to go late to home. I talk to mom for jus 5 mins or so with the bread slices stuffed in my mouth.

Anyone having a expression 'oh-poor-guy', after reading this post, thnks for u r sympathy . And anyone who has gone beyond dat n crying then pls call me i'll make arrangement for the tissues. It will be delivered rite to u r place. Iam not sick n Iam not expecting any 'get well soon' cards. I jus wanted to put everything here so dat i could see in future wht i was doing in my first project.

So wht i say ................. "just chill , without paying bill" ............ this must be the worst quote ever written. I know it doesnt make any sence like agarkar's inclusion in the team. U can expect only non-sence form me ................

Chalo then before i write more of these controversial quotes n spoil u r english ....... byeeee

65 point no-one .

Its been long since i have posted anything here . The work was a bit hectic . Actually we are fixing bugs. "If debugging is the process of removing bugs, does coding means creating bugs? " think abt it. Ohhh forgot .... first let me clarify abt the non-sence title i have given to this post. It makes lot of sence to me ( now dont assume dat iam non-sence) ... kya kare yar kilarify karna padtha hai , warna loog kuch bhi samaj lete hai. Its a one sentence description to my engg life .
65 is the percentage i got (see how shameless iam). But bravery is not in concealing u r mistakes, its abt accepting them ..... ooie maa mai marjawa katta khake .... iam too gud ..hehe. This post is abt regrets in my life . I dont knw wht the hell was i doing when ppl sitting beside me were getting 80%. Iam very poor at presenting things( ab ees blog ka halath dekhke samajlo bhai). Exams in OU are all abt filling papers, n i was saving them. See how considerade iam. At the end of the exam everyone used to submit a well compiled 50 pages book, n i gave them a small handbook. I used to perform very well in the viva. But seriously when it comes to answering queries put by lectures in the class i used to take the front seat. I was sound technically , but who cares when u cant put it where its required. I had serious doubts abt my future . whether i wud be even eligible for any company. Even if they called me would they take a 65% guy. All i cud depend was on the technical stuff i had , and the crap english i speak. I dnt have stage fear , maybe dat helped. i got selected in the 3rd company i attended. And my saviour is WIPRO.

Coming back to the later part of the title( 'no-one' thing) . I had done my diploma so I was directly joined in the 2nd yr. The other ppl treated us like freshers. It was not for long though. So the point i want to make here is i cudn't search for that special person. Many girls had attitude prob. they used to give 'i-knw-everything' look. Didnt make any gr8 frnds. We had a group(all guys, n mind u very decent guys), we never even went to a movie as a group. It was more like individuals meeting for combined studies. So all in all it was "no fun no studies".

U might think wht happened to this creature n why is he digging everything here. aa raha hoon bhai , thoda wait karlo. I was reading this movel "5 point someone". kambhakth isi novel ka kasoor hai, jo mujhe sab kuch ugla raha hai. It made me realise how i screwed my student life which are supposed to be wonderful days of one's life. And why was i ignorant dat there is smething called IIT existed. I was a gud student in the school. My life changed when i joined diploma. I wish there was smeone who guided me. All in all i deserved more in life :( ...

Chalo bhai chalta hoon ..... phir milenge right here , with another tragic incidents of my life. I guess i can write a sequel.

She made me cry ...... :-(

" She was lying on the bed. She wanted oliver to sit beside her. He sat there watching at his wife's pale face. He tried to be strong like a soldier. There were tubes attached to her. She was suffering from leucamia. She wanted him to hug her. She wanted to feel him(maybe for the last time). He hugged her carefully. "Tightly " she exclaimed. He obeyed it. " Thnks ollie " was the last word she uttered. And there was the end of a fairytale. He cudn't stop his tears , so was i.

Well, i wanted to put it in a more dramatic fashion. I dont know if i have succeded in it. It all started like this . I thought of spending my weekends for sme productive work. I always felt reading was pain, n we ought to take it only before exams. After i started reading this novel, my perception has changed. I learnt dat, it can be for pleasure too. It is my first novel, "Love Story" by Erich Segal. It made me cry, ya it did. I cant believe it. I always thought i can withstand any emotional attacks and i was made with shakti cement. I was proved wrong. I hate those emotional scene that come on T.V . I dont knw wht prompted me to read the climax. So a suggestion from a novice reader ,"Its perfectly alright to start a love story, but dont read the climax".

My weekend has gone very well. It seemed as a long one. Saw 2 movies in 3 days. Its quite common for me. The movie "300" is just too gud. The taking, dialouges, graphics, action ... and wht not, is jus too gud. Yesterday was even better, are yar india won the match. The ball was not willing to stay in the ground. People were hitting sixes at will. After India's loss to bangladesh ,people had given up . Now there is a ray of hope . I hope india comes out with flying colours.

ALL THE BEST "MEN IN BLUE" .......

n...I did it ^%$^ ...boletho ekdam 'Gladiator' ke mafik

Well!! well, the devil is back. Past 15 days have been very eventful. As the title says, I won. Let me explain wht had happened. And here goes the story ..... I was assigned some work in the project . I cudn't do it. My work was shared my sme other people, coz it had to be delivered on time. I had a decent image in my Team Leads mind. But this incident shattered everything . He was treating me as smeone escaped from tihar jail . He was actually scoulding me in a surcastic way . Dialouges like "Anil sir u r services are required here " . Iam not used to it. And to add to the woes i got shunting from a colleague who shared my work. I was down and out . I got serious doubts on my abilities. It felt really bad . I thought this was the time to prove many people wrong. And then like magic .... every piece of code which i wrote worked . Now slowly my confidence was back. We have 9 editors in our project . Out of which i completed 80 % of 1 editor. It was a gr8 feeling . I was very happy . Then after dat i completed another editor in 1 day(its the smallest among the 9 editors) . Hurray !!!!! my TL was shocked . He was laughing after seeing dat . I thought , i won the battle . My confidence is at peak now . Iam enjoying my work now . Its amazing how simple things change u r life . Now iam a real confident guy. Back to form .. hehe .... My episode is nothing less than sourav ganguly's one .

And finally i watched a movie after almost 2 months . Met all my frnds . Its already 1 hour since i have started writing this post ... Iam very poor when it comes to putting up things here . I plan everything and on a fine day i put it here ... But still i cant put it nicely . Sme people write so effortlessly. Tasneem is one of them . Though she writes all greek n latin ...hehe . May be i'll improve wid time . apna angregi mein thoda (nahi kuch zyada hi) locha hai . I feel fortunate dat i have frnd with whom i share all these 'alif laila' stories of mine .

I mentioned in my previous post tht people have forgot to smile ... now there is a big change . Every one is giving a happy dent smile . Our project is almost done . Actually we are not having work most of the time . And i feel we worth this free time . The world cup is going to start from 13 th . And the match telecast starts from 7 pm . I might miss this world cup. are yar who will stay awake the whole night when u have to wake up at 6 in the morning . All the best for "men in blue" . I hope they win the world cup this time .

There is a long gap between my posts .... I'll try to be more frequent than the RTC buses from now on .
I have to skip my break fast to write a post. There was a group announcement mail saying " dont skip u r break fast " . It was as if he was reffering to me ...

chalo then .... my TL has cme ....

My date with Expedia .....

The devil is back, but not with a bang ..... i have been trying to write a post since many days ... The work was hectic,so i cudnt do it. After the training I moved to lakshmi building .... I was in freepool for 20 days .... Then came the first project of my career ... EXPEDIA .... Its a new client to WIPRO . Its a high visibility project ... in the sence dat ... Hierarchies will be closely monitoring everything. If the EXPEDIA people are satisfied with wipro .... many projects are expected from them ... When the project started there were sme question like ... are we really going to complete this ??? will we be able to deliver on time ???? .... All these things coz ours is not a gr8 team ... I didnt find any extra ordinary people here .... There is one girl keerthi ... Shez doing all the work ... As far as my work goes .... i felt like i was lost ... Didnt knw how start it, where to frm .... as a fresher we expected sme help from people .... How can only one girl help everyone ... n she has to do her work too .... After 1 month now ... The project is in place .... and we r able to deliver things on time .... We are coming on saturdays & sundays .... I come by 8.30 and reach home at 10.30 or 11 in the night ... Its same for all our team mates ... infact i leave early .... I get up at 6 and sleep at 11.30 or 12 ....

Overall its been very hectic .... Its not tht i have done any gr8 work here ... Infact i have done nothing .... its just dat everyone stays and i join them ... I really hope this project is completed fast. People have forgot to smile here ... The problem is we are spending time but we are not able to finish work ...

I have not watched a movie since 1 month .... Being a movie buff its horrible for me ... Even the theatre authorities are complaining abt the drop in collections . Not able to meet frnds ... Feeling very lonely these days .... The only source of entertainment is FM .... My mobile is used more like a radio and instant messenger now ... I rarely get calls ... The only person who calls me is manju .... And smetimes frm home to check whether iam cming or got lost in the traffic ...

Ohhh forgot !!!! belated "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY " to all the people in love. It was jus another day for me ... Its like "jale pe namak chidakna". Firstly u r pissed off in life ... and then this day make me realise dat iam alone .... I wish i cud celebrate this day as if iam going to die the next day (kuch jyada hogaya na ... maybe ) .... I console myself saying "mera number bhi ayega " ... but then anil in me says " number kya khak ayega , abtak token bhi nai mila" .... Its the successful 5th year of my consolation program ... Idhar mere emotions ke loose motions ho rahe hai ... Before i get wild and bang my head on the desk ,and before i search for the book "101 ways of committing suicide " .... I'll stop here .....

maai maai (goodbye in chinese ... Idea copied from tasneem)

Yahoooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! Back to home land ..........

Iam back to manikonda. Its like a hard fought battle won for me. Our team was supposed to shift to manikonda on 29th Dec 2006 itself. It took 15 days for the people to assign systems for us. I dont know if they had ordered for furniture, systems, and the things required for a cubicle after 29th dec. This is India and wipro is no exception. Finally everything is fine now. There is something in manikonda which excites me , maybe the environment , frnds ,Cafeteria. Maybe everything . As i have undergone training here, iam very much used to this place. Thats why i call it my "home land" .While i was in laxmi building, it was like tihar jail for me.
My cubicle is in the same ODC as Tasneem's was. She is now shifted to new project ,so a different place. Its a gr8 coincidence. Its good for her that she is not here. Otherwise i would have eaten up her brain. Tassuneemuuu tussi bachgai. Now i feel like working here. Its a gr8 to work. Now i will get to eat Dosas,sandwiches,and..... biryani. When i excitedly said to mom dat iam going to manikonda, she said "why r u excited to go to manikonda leaving begumpet ,which is near to us" . I never cared for journey. The quote "Life is a journey" is true in my case.

My travel achievements:
1. 4 hr journey(up & down) to polytechnic college for 3 yrs.
2. 4 hr journey(up & down) to CBIT for 3 yrs.
3. 3 hr journey (up & down) to Manikonda 2 months and continuing......

See i have a strong journey experience. Dont u think i deserve award. Something like "Best traveller award" or "Life time travel achievement award" . If u think so Type "CRAP" and SMS to "1088" or u can call to 9985888168 and say "CRAP".

Hope to have good time here ............
